Permanent Job Opportunities for Class C drivers
(Based in Wednesbury)
We currently have a genuine need for permanent Class 2 drivers to join our family- owned manufacturing business. Established for over 100 years.
The job:
· Full time hours every week 5 days - no ad hoc - no short weeks
· No nights! No rostered weekend work!
· Guaranteed 40 hours work each week – with an average of 40 to 50 hours work
- Opportunity to work overtime
· No need to load or unload your own trucks
· Typical working day starts at 6am - average of 2-4 drops a day
You will be required to:
· Monitor driving hours to comply with the EU Working Time Directive to minimise infringements
· Provide excellent face to face customer service to our clients
· Complete daily vehicle checks
· Ensure the legality of the load and its adequate safety in line with VOSA expectations using experience, expertise and good judgement
The successful candidate must have:
- Full HGV C Class 2 license
- Valid Digital tacho card and valid driver CPC card
- A good understanding of drivers hours and regulations
- Good understanding of the working time directive
- Excellent geographical knowledge of UK road network
- Flexible approach to work
- Customer focused attitude
- A willingness to learn
- Live local to Wednesbury/West Midlands
