With our Head Office in Plymouth, our company has been established for 20+ years and offers highly innovative design and construction solutions to our commercial and residential clients, both regionally and nationally.
Our projects are predominantly commercial and range from £500k to 3 million. Projects include offices, industrial units, car showrooms and retail outlets. To be successful in the role of Site Manager, you will be reliable and have a positive, hands-on approach, able to assist and supervise the site teams. We are open to consider either a Fixed Term or Permanent contract.
You will have extensive construction industry experience and a proven track record of delivering projects, proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office - specifically in MS Projects, hold a SMSTS certificate and a valid CSCS Managers card, hold a full clean driver’s licence and be willing to travel. Strong communication abilities and safety standards are non-negotiable. You'll need strong proven experience in leading teams across multiple locations and in a 'hands-on' capacity.
Key Duties:
- Manage and maintain the program to ensure the project is delivered to a high standard and on target for completion.
- Create and maintain onsite H&S documentation including RAMS.
- Comply with the companies build policy and procedures.
- Supervise and co-ordinate staff, sub-contractors, material suppliers and utility providers at multiple locations.
- Ensure best practice to high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality within the site operations under your control, and deliver a safe project for the client on behalf of the company and the team.
- Solve problems creatively to drive projects forward.
- Produce and maintain the project records in line with Creative Construction procedures.
- Collaborate with projects coordinators to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to the site.
- Conduct quality checks for all allocated activities.
