Job Summary
We are looking for Class 1 Drivers for a number of roles, Tramping , Days and Weekends. We are expanding so are looking for reliable new drivers to expand our current fleet.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily pre-trip inspections of the lorry to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Safely operate a flatbed HGV Class 1 vehicle on scheduled routes, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload goods with care, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
- Deliver goods to designated locations, maintaining accurate delivery documentation.
- Assist with the organisation of loads and ensure the correct items are transported.
- Follow all health and safety procedures during driving, loading, and unloading processes.
- Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues during deliveries.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and promptly after each shift.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving
- Knowledge of current UK road regulations and safety standards for large vehicle operation.
- Previous experience as a Class 1 driver is preferred.
- Ability to undertake physical tasks such as loading/unloading goods safely.
- Flexibility to work during days, weekends, and trampers as required.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and vehicle checks.
- A responsible attitude towards safety, punctuality, and customer service standards.
Pay: £14.62-£19.11 per hour
