Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health and Wellbeing Coach to join Bettws Lifehouse in the United Kingdom. Based in our school, this role is vital in supporting the health and wellbeing of our pupils, aligning with our mission to provide holistic education. The ideal candidate will contribute to creating a nurturing environment that promotes physical and mental health.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health and wellbeing lessons tailored to the needs of pupils.
- Provide guidance on nutrition, mental health, and overall wellness
- Support the day to day lessons and routines of learners ensuring sensory breaks and exercise throughout the day
- Collaborate with the Clinical Health lead and group wellbeing lead to integrate healthy initiatives into daily activities.
- Support pupils with their individual health plans and monitor their progress.
- Promote awareness of healthy lifestyles with displays and staff training events
- Maintain accurate records related to pupil health and wellbeing.
- Stay updated on best practices in child health, nutrition, and holistic care.
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages open communication about health issues.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in physical health, nutrition, or related fields.
- Mental health training
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of supporting young people is advantageous.
- Passion for promoting wellbeing of young people and a belief in activity as being a route for positive mental health.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate approach with excellent interpersonal skills
