Role Overview We are building Fluent-Online, a new platform focused on delivering high-quality 1:1 language learning experiences. As we grow, we are looking for passionate educators to join us at an early stage and help shape the learning experience for students worldwide.
We are building a platform designed to support teachers—providing structured materials, consistent students, and a focus on quality education rather than volume-based sessions. As an Online English Teacher, you will deliver personalized one-on-one lessons to students from diverse backgrounds, helping learners build confidence and improve their English language skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality 1:1 online English lessons to global students.
- Engage learners and maintain a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Adapt lesson plans based on individual student levels, ages, and learning goals.
- Provide concise, constructive feedback after each completed lesson.
Requirements
- Native or bilingual proficiency in the English language.
- Proven experience teaching English as a second/foreign language.
- Experience working with children or holding a TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
- Availability to commit to approximately 20 or more hours per week.
- A reliable high-speed internet connection and a professional audio/video setup for online teaching.
Working Model & Compensation
- Contract Type: Self-employed / Independent Contractor (1099).
- Schedule: Fully remote with a flexible schedule determined by you.
- Compensation: Pay is calculated per completed lesson. There are ongoing opportunities to increase your income through building a consistent student base and earning performance-based bonuses.
