Driving Kitchen Porter – Events & Hospitality (Chichester Area)
We are currently seeking reliable and hardworking Driving Kitchen Porters to join our busy hospitality team, supporting high-profile events and ongoing seasonal work throughout the summer.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role ideal for individuals who thrive in energetic environments and are committed to delivering excellent back-of-house support during large-scale events.
The Role
As a Driving Kitchen Porter, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth kitchen operations. You’ll support chefs and kitchen teams while also assisting with transporting supplies and equipment when required.
In addition to event work, there will be ongoing cleaning shifts across the Chichester area throughout the summer holidays, providing consistent opportunities for work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting chefs with basic food preparation
- Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen areas, including pot wash and equipment
- Supporting kitchen teams during busy service periods
- Assisting with set-up and clear-down of kitchen and service areas
- Supporting wider hospitality operations when needed
- Adhering to health & safety and hygiene standards at all times
Requirements
- Must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle (essential)
- Previous Kitchen Porter experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work in a very fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Willingness to work long shifts and commit to full event days
- Strong work ethic and a team-player attitude
- Good communication skills and a positive, can-do approach
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and peak seasonal periods
