As part of our strategic expansion into the UK market, we are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Business Developer based in London to drive our commercial growth across the United Kingdom.
Your Mission
You will act as ProteoGenix’s commercial ambassador in the UK.
Your primary objective: generate sustainable revenue growth by building strong relationships within biotech companies, research institutes and diagnostic organizations across the UK.
This is a strategic, high-impact role combining market development, lead generation, client relationship management and commercial execution.
You will work closely with our international marketing and sales teams while operating with a high degree of autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Lead Generation
- Identify and approach high-potential biotech, pharma and academic targets across the UK.
- Execute proactive outreach campaigns (email, LinkedIn, events, referrals).
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline within the CRM.
- Develop long-term territory growth strategy.
Client Relationship & Representation
- Build trusted, long-term partnerships with scientists and decision-makers.
- Represent ProteoGenix at scientific conferences, biotech events and networking sessions across the UK.
- Conduct in-person meetings in London and nationwide.
- Position ProteoGenix as a strategic scientific partner, not just a supplier.
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Execute UK commercial strategy aligned with global objectives.
- Qualify opportunities and coordinate handover to account managers for proposal and closing.
- Drive cross-selling initiatives across our service portfolio.
- Contribute to revenue targets and growth KPIs.
Strategic Contribution
- Provide UK market intelligence and competitive insights.
- Support marketing campaigns and brand positioning initiatives.
- Contribute to long-term UK expansion strategy.
Your Profile
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of business development or sales experience in life sciences.
- Strong existing network within UK biotech, pharma, academic or diagnostic sectors.
- Solid understanding of biologics discovery, protein/antibody development or CRO services.
- Proven track record of revenue generation and territory development.
Skills
- Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Strong scientific curiosity and ability to translate complex solutions into business value.
- Experience working with CRM tools and pipeline management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
