Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to support our logistics and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with order picking, order handling, and shipping and receiving tasks within a busy warehouse environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts
- Manage stock levels through accurate stocking, picking, and packing of items
- Support shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods
- Handle materials safely, including heavy lifting and mechanical tasks when required
- Maintain organisation and cleanliness within the warehouse to ensure safety standards are met
- Assist with stock rotation and inventory counts to ensure accuracy
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or similar environment
- Proficiency with forklift operation (certification preferred)
- Strong materials handling skills, including heavy lifting and manual dexterity
- Knowledge of stock management, shipping & receiving procedures, and picking & packing processes
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow safety protocols at all times
