Job Overview
We are recruiting Part-Time Factory Production Operatives to work in a chilled food processing environment.
The role involves handling and processing poultry after slaughter has been completed by licensed personnel. Duties include working with raw poultry, heavy lifting, and operating in an environment where there may be blood, feathers, strong odours, and animal by-products.
Applicants must be comfortable working in these conditions. Full training will be provided.
Working Hours & Pay
- Weds, Thurs and Fridays (maybe some Sat)
- Working hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm
- Part-time position
- £13.00 per hour
- Weekly pay
- Work available until Christmas
- Starts ASAP
Duties Include
- Hanging birds onto processing racks (lifting up to 20kg)
- Handling slaughtered birds
- Processing and preparing raw poultry meat
- Removing heads and feet from birds
- Removal of internal organs
- Plucking and removing feathers
- General factory production duties
- Maintaining hygiene and food safety standards
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
Travel & Location
Please note:
- No accommodation is available for this position
- Due to the remote location of the site, candidates must travel to and from work each day
- Own transport is essential due to remote location - CM2
- Public transport options are limited and may not be suitable for shift times
Requirements
- Own vehicle and valid means of transport
- Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
- Comfortable working in a chilled factory environment
- Comfortable handling raw meat, blood, feathers, and strong odours
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to regular shifts
