Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.
On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Personal Account Administrator for a contact until the end of 2026 based in Birmingham, hybrid working.
Purpose of the role:
The Personal Account Administrator supports the smooth and compliant onboarding of new personal banking customers. The role ensures that online applications are processed accurately, required documentation is validated, and all onboarding activity aligns with internal standards, SLAs, and regulatory expectations.
What you'll do:
- Process personal account applications submitted online, ensuring all required information is captured and validated.
- Key and input customer data into internal systems with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Identify missing information and issue follow‑up letters or contact customers directly to complete applications.
- Work within a 4‑day SLA, managing your caseload efficiently to meet monthly targets of approximately 40–45 applications.
- Follow onboarding SOPs and internal guidance, including ID verification rules and documentation standards.
- Escalate risks, exceptions, or unclear cases to senior colleagues or compliance teams when required.
- Support the wider onboarding team, ensuring a consistent and customer‑focused account opening journey.
The skills you'll need:
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to input data accurately.
- Confidence reviewing and validating customer identification documents, following guidance precisely.
- Ability to work to SLAs and productivity targets in a structured operational environment.
- Good communication skills for contacting customers about missing information.
- Financial Services experience is beneficial.
- Comfortable following step‑by‑step procedures.
