Job Overview
We are seeking an ambitious and hard working candidate to act as an Assistant to our Operations Manager helping to oversee daily operations within our short-term lettings business, which currently manages around 60 properties. You will be reporting directly to the Operations Manager, assisting them with all tasks related to daily operations and property management with the portfolio. This role involves supporting all aspects of operations, including carrying out property inspections, managing guest bookings, overseeing payments, dealing with complaints, overseeing cleaners and cleaning schedules and managing remote customer service staff. You will be provided with full training and the initial stages of the role you will be heavily supported by the Operations Manager, with more responsibility being added as experience is gained.

Responsibilities
- Support daily operational activities including calendar management, booking administration, guest service and support, maintenance co-ordination, relocations and cancellations, cleaning and housekeeping services.
- Oversee guest services, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and addressing any issues promptly.
- Support the Operations Manager with any administrative tasks.
- Monitor compliance with regulations, organisational standards, and legal requirements.
- Analyse operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure existing policies and processes are being followed
- Foster a positive organisational culture centred around teamwork, integrity, professionalism, and exceptional service delivery.
Experience
- Proven management experience within the hospitality or guest services sector, ideally within a serviced accommodation/AirBNB/aparthotel organisation is essential.
- An understanding of the short-term rental industry and various client sectors (leisure, corporate, temporary accommodation etc) is essential.
- Experience utilising channel managers and/or property management software
- Knowledge of hospitality operations, including guest relations, housekeeping and maintenance.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Good problem solving skills
- Experience within residential property management is highly desirable.

Whilst experience within the short-term rental or serviced accommodation market is highly desirable, it is more important to be a fast learner with a strong work ethic.
