SEND SUPPORT-Saltley- PAY: £95-£120- FULL TIME-ASAP
Pioneer People are looking for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work within welcoming and supportive, Primary Schools in Saltley.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with staff to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will play a key role in helping children access learning, develop social and emotional skills, and feel safe and supported within the setting.
You may be working 1-1 or with small groups, providing tailored support to meet individual needs and helping to implement strategies that promote engagement and development.
Role is starting full time in September!!!
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with SEND in their daily learning and activities
- Provide 1:1 or small group support tailored to individual needs
- Implement individual support plans and behaviour strategies
- Support children with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and other additional needs
- Encourage positive engagement, independence, and confidence
- Use de-escalation techniques to support behaviour and emotional regulation
- Assist with personal care where required
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure consistent support
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children with SEND (essential)
- A proactive and hands-on approach to supporting children with additional needs
- A compassionate, patient, and resilient attitude
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
