Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager to oversee daily operations within our food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food production and hospitality, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the kitchen and front-of-house staff, including chefs, servers, and baristas.
- Oversee food preparation processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation meet company standards.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation to minimise waste.
- Implement and monitor food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations.
- Train new staff members and provide ongoing coaching to enhance team performance.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Organise staff schedules to optimise coverage during peak hours while maintaining labour costs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients at competitive prices.
Requirements
- Proven management experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment, ideally with a background in food production or culinary arts.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling and preparation.
- Experience in supervising staff, managing operations, and ensuring high standards of service delivery.
- Practical experience in cooking, food preparation, serving, or barista work is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
- Good communication skills to liaise with staff, suppliers, and customers confidently.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred; hospitality experience is advantageous.
