We're looking for an experienced Solar Electrician to join our expanding team, delivering high-quality renewable energy installations across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
As an MCS-certified contractor, we specialise in Solar PV, Battery Storage and Roofing solutions, working predominantly within the social housing sector. Due to continued growth, we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working as part of a close-knit team and is committed to delivering first-class customer service.
About the Role
As a Solar Electrician, you'll be responsible for carrying out electrical installations, testing and commissioning of domestic Solar PV and Battery Storage systems, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
Working alongside our roofing and installation teams, you'll play a key role in delivering projects for local authorities, housing associations and private customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission domestic Solar PV and Battery Storage systems
- Complete electrical testing, inspection and certification
- Carry out consumer unit upgrades where required
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults
- Ensure all installations comply with current Wiring Regulations and MCS standards
- Complete all job documentation accurately using digital systems
- Liaise professionally with residents, clients and site teams
- Maintain high standards of health and safety on every project
- Support apprentices and junior electricians where required
What We're Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- Inspection & Testing Qualification (2391 or equivalent preferred)
- ECS/JIB Gold Card
- Experience installing Solar PV systems
- Battery Storage experience advantageous
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A positive attitude with a willingness to develop and grow within the business
