Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Prepare, examine, and analyse financial statements and reports using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other relevant platforms.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support organisational objectives.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies related to financial management.
- Support audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with external auditors.
- Mentor junior team members or interns in accounting practices and software utilisation to foster professional development within the team.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide accurate financial data for decision-making purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in financial accounting within a similar role, ideally with knowledge of multiple accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or equivalent systems.
- Strong understanding of financial services industry practices is advantageous.
- Proficiency in managing accounts payable processes and general ledger activities.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor or support colleagues in technical skills or process improvements.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and report preparation.

Pay: £24,420.00-£58,299.55 per year
