- Build positive, trusting relationships with children to support their development, resilience, and sense of belonging.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, social workers, and external professionals to ensure consistent, holistic support.
- Maintain accurate, timely records including daily logs, incident reports, safeguarding documentation, and updates to care plans.
- Support and mentor junior staff, offering guidance, modelling good practice, and contributing to a positive team culture.
- Engage children in meaningful recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Drive children to appointments, school, contact sessions, or community activities as required.
- Participate in team meetings, multi‑agency discussions, and reflective practice sessions to ensure high standards of care.
- Respond confidently and safely to crisis situations, following behaviour support plans and safeguarding procedures.
