Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods, for delivery across various locations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service. The position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to maintaining high standards of driving and vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules whilst adhering to legal driving hours
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
- Assist with the unloading of goods at customer sites, ensuring damage-free delivery
- Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour when interacting with clients and colleagues
- Report any incidents or vehicle issues promptly to management
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver specialising in flatbed deliveries or similar roles
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record
- Delivery driver experience with knowledge of safe loading and securing techniques for flatbeds
- Familiarity with UK road networks and route planning software is advantageous
- Demonstrated understanding of road safety regulations and compliance requirements for commercial vehicles
