Our client is seeking a Neighbourhood Officer on a temporary basis (2 months) to cover Norfolk and North Suffolk, all mileage will be paid for at 0.45p per mile. The role is PAYE and £19 per hour with 0.5 hours holiday accrued each week.
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Neighbourhood Officer to join our Local Delivery team.
In this varied and rewarding role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality housing management services, including tenancy management, lettings, and anti-social behaviour casework. You will work closely with tenants, partners, and internal teams to ensure customers can enjoy safe, sustainable tenancies and thriving communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a patch delivering effective tenancy and estate management services
- Allocate and let properties in line with policies and nominations agreements
- Investigate and resolve anti-social behaviour, neighbour disputes, and tenancy breaches
- Take appropriate enforcement action, including attending court where required
- Support tenants to sustain their tenancies, including signposting to welfare benefits and support services
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, local authorities, and external agencies
- Carry out home visits, including supporting tenants in arrears
- Promote resident engagement and community involvement
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, legal, and regulatory requirements
About You
You will be an organised and resilient individual with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service. You will be confident in managing challenging situations and able to make sound, evidence-based decisions.

Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Experience working with customers face-to-face and over the phone
- Understanding of tenancy agreements, housing legislation, and landlord responsibilities
- Knowledge of welfare benefits relevant to social housing
Desirable
- Experience working in the housing sector or a similar role
- CIH housing qualification (or working towards)
