Smoking Goat is an open-fire Thai barbecue restaurant and bar, serving food inspired by the street food of Bangkok and the laab stalls of northern Thailand. We're a busy restaurant that works closely with exceptional farmers and offers a daily-changing menu. Our drinks programme includes unique beers, natural wines, and a growing vinyl record collection. We’re seeking a Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen Team!
What you’ll be doing:

Collaborate closely with our senior kitchen team to maintain consistently high standards of food preparation and presentation, ensuring guest satisfaction.

Oversee and manage your assigned kitchen section, coordinating daily prep schedules and ensuring smooth operations.

Lead daily briefings for your section team to set expectations and assign responsibilities.

Develop and implement comprehensive training plans tailored to the needs of junior staff, focusing on essential skills such as food preparation, presentation, and efficient workflow.

Monitor progress and assess training effectiveness, adjusting programmes as needed to ensure continuous improvement and high performance.

Conduct routine inspections of your section to ensure compliance with internal and external hygiene and sanitation standards.

Ensure that all team members strictly adhere to food safety practices, including proper handling, storage, and labelling of ingredients.

Serve as primary support to Sous Chefs during high-volume service periods, providing backup and troubleshooting as required.

Address any issues that arise during service quickly and efficiently to maintain consistent quality.

Maintain knowledge of our produce and suppliers to ensure high-quality ingredient selection.

Ensure a strong understanding of food safety standards and legislative requirements to uphold a 5-star EHO rating.
What you’ll bring:

Passion and knowledge of restaurants, good cooking, good sourcing of food and drink are a great headstart. But most important is the appetite to learn, grow and be a part of building the most exciting restaurant group in London.

2 years of experience in a fast paced kitchen, where excellence is consistent on every plate.

You’re confident in training and developing junior team members.
