Key Responsibilities – Adult Learning Disabilities Social Worker
- Deliver statutory Adult Social Work services in Scotland
- Undertake care assessments, support planning, and reviews
- Work within Learning Disabilities Social Work services
- Carry out safeguarding duties including Adult Support and Protection
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary health and social care teams
- Provide person-centred, strength-based social care interventions
- Liaise with families, carers, and external agencies across Orkney
Requirements – Social Worker Jobs Scotland
- Diploma in Social Work (DipSW) or equivalent qualification
- Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
- Enhanced PVG Disclosure
- Experience in Adult Social Work or Learning Disability Services
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding adults in Scotland
- Ability to manage complex caseloads in a local authority social work setting
- Adult Support and Protection training (desirable)
