We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable PPA Cover Teacher to provide high-quality cover lessons across various subjects within our educational setting. Responsibilities
- Deliver prepared lessons in accordance with curriculum guidelines across different subjects and year groups.
- Support students with special educational needs, including those with autism, ensuring their individual learning requirements are met.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, including creative writing activities for students with different needs.
- Maintain behaviour management standards to promote a positive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth lesson transitions and continuity of learning.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students, supporting their academic progress and personal development.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents regarding student progress and behavioural concerns as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Experience or training in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to work effectively with children in an educational setting.
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
- Knowledge of teaching strategies suitable for students with autism or other special educational needs.
- Experience in tutoring or mentoring students to support their academic growth.
- Creativity in lesson planning, particularly in areas such as creative writing or arts-based activities.
- Flexibility and adaptability to cover different subjects and age groups on short notice.
- Relevant qualifications in education or teaching are preferred but not essential; a passion for supporting young learners is vital. Pay: £160.00-£250.00 per day
