For Immediate Start!
We are a busy, family-run independent sales and lettings agency in Sheffield with a welcoming office environment, and we’re looking for a confident, organised individual to join our friendly team.
This is a varied role where you’ll spend time both in and out of the office, playing an important part in the day-to-day running of the business.
Around half of the role will involve carrying out property visits including inventories, checkouts, inspections, and viewings, with the use of a company vehicle provided for these duties.
What you’ll be doing:
- Conduct end-of-tenancy checkout inspections and manage any issues identified, including arranging remedial works with contractors and overseeing the tenant deposit return process in line with ARLA and DPS best practice.
- Liaise with landlords and tenants throughout the end-of-tenancy process, providing clear communication on proposed deductions and managing the process through to deposit resolution, including handling disputes where required.
- Prepare photographic inventories that document the condition of a property prior to commencement of a tenancy.
- Conduct routine property inspections on managed properties, preparing detailed reports and liaising with landlords and colleagues regarding any issues identified.
- Complete all post-appointment administration, including typing reports, updating internal systems (10ninety), and issuing relevant updates and documentation to landlords, contractors, and colleagues.
- Arrange and oversee maintenance works with contractors, ensuring works are completed and followed up appropriately.
- Conduct accompanied property viewings for prospective tenants.
- Follow company processes, procedures, and compliance standards at all times.
- Support the wider team with additional administrative and ad hoc duties as required.
- Handle incoming telephone enquiries professionally and efficiently.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build great relationships with landlords, tenants, and partners.
- Good IT skills and confidence on the telephone.
- Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise workload in a busy environment.
- A full clean UK driving licence.
- A positive attitude, flexible and a team player mindset.
- Previous experience in lettings is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Why join us?
You’ll be part of a close-knit, supportive team who work hard but also enjoy socialising together outside of work. We offer a positive, collaborative working environment where everyone helps each other succeed - we even have two office dogs who are very much part of the team! This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate, or someone looking to build a career in lettings and property management.
