Job Summary
I am looking for another soon-to-be passionate gardener to add to our team of other fantastic gardeners. You should be :
- Passionate about gardens
- Aware of the things that let gardens down, and how to resolve them
- Conscious of time taken to solve problems, and how that might impact you if you were paying
- Have some plant knowledge, and be keen to learn. What are weeds is essential.
- Know what tools you might need, and how to use them - but be willing to learn new techniques
- You dont have to be an expert already, or qualified. Much knowledge in qualifications will never be used in regular garden maintenance
Responsibilities
I could write a list here of objectives, but really you just need to be able to (after probation period) get to where we need to go, address the problems you see or have been told of, and do it efficiently.
You also need to be aware that bad weather- or extremely hot weather - can affect our ability to work, so an attitude of work-when-we-can is essential.
Skills
You need to be able to drive, be insurable, can read a map or nav system, and be able to use the basic garden hand tools we all have at home. You need to be able to work on your own or in a team, demonstrate your knowledge, show how much you care.
