Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable HGV Driver Class 2 to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating flatbed lorries to deliver steel tube efficiently across designated routes nationally. Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 2 HGV lorries, including flatbed vehicles, in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
- Execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely collection and drop-off of goods
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety and operational standards
- Secure loads properly on flatbeds to prevent movement during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding schedules, delays, or issues during deliveries
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling of cargo
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
Qualifications
- Valid Category C (Class 2) HGV licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed lorries or similar vehicles
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable
- Good understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving
- Ability to operate flatbeds safely and securely, including load securing techniques
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers and colleagues
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings or late finishes if necessary

Pay: £32,000.00 per year
