We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in various settings, including care homes and home care environments. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions or behaviours to the nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Drive to various locations as required for home care visits.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with care home or home care environments is advantageous.
- A good command of English is required for effective communication with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between locations.
