Position: Teaching Assistant

AK Teaching is looking for enthusiastic individuals, both experienced and newly qualified, to join our team of Teaching Assistants in Washington and surrounding areas. We have opportunities available for immediate starts across all Primary ages from Nursery-KS2.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers in delivering lessons and activities.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Assist with administrative tasks and student assessments.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
Requirements:
- Passion for working with children and young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Valid DBS on the update service (or willing to process a new DBS)
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
