Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Artist to join our Northolt team on a Full Time basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety. As a Sandwich Artist, you will play a crucial role in creating delicious sandwiches while providing excellent customer service. This position requires effective time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and menu guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, slicing meats, and preparing sauces.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all operational procedures.
- Engage with customers, providing recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and portioning ingredients accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is an advantage.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members alike.
