Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Class 2 driver to join our team. Primarily you will be driving an 26 tonne vehicle. The successful candidate will be doing multi drop deliveries around multiple different areas including London postcodes. We also have opportunities for full load and part load deliveries across the country.
We are looking for someone who will work with us in growing our company, and is not afraid of putting the work in. There is always opportunities for overtime.
Duties
- Safely operate 18 tonne rigid vehicle, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload goods with an electric pump truck, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
- Deliver goods directly to customers or designated locations, providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures and photographs upon delivery.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with the transport office and customers regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
Experience
- Must have at least 2 years experience driving a class 2.
- Valid driver’s licence with a Driver CPC and Clean license.
- Ability to use a tail lift and electric pump truck.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers.
- Familiarity with London but not essential.
