Sanctuary Personnel are currently recruiting for multiple experienced Adults Social Workers to join a busy Community Team in Cornwall. The Role
As an Adults Social Worker, you will manage a varied caseload, working with vulnerable adults to promote independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Care Act assessments, safeguarding interventions, and care planning, ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Care Act Assessments and Care and Support Planning
- Complete Section 42 Safeguarding Enquiries and safeguarding investigations
- Carry out Mental Capacity Assessments and best interest decisions
- Conduct strength-based assessments to promote independence
- Manage complex caseloads within a community social work setting
- Prepare reports and undertake court work where required
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and partner agencies
- Prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines and statutory requirements
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Proven experience in Adult Social Work within a local authority setting
- Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks
- Experience completing safeguarding enquiries, mental capacity assessments, and care planning
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong assessment, analytical, and communication skills
