Handyman (Self-Employed) – Children’s Residential Homes
We are looking to recruit a reliable and skilled self-employed handyman to support with general maintenance across our children’s residential homes.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure our homes remain safe, well-presented, and fully functional for young people.
Key Responsibilities
- General property maintenance and repairs
- Basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks
- Decorating and upkeep of internal and external areas
- Responding to maintenance issues in a timely manner
- Ensuring all work is completed to a safe and high standard
Contract Details
- Type: Self-employed
- Days: 2 days per week (flexible)
- Rate: £150 – £200 per day (depending on experience)
- Location: Monmouthshire
Requirements
- Proven experience in general maintenance / handyman work
- Own tools and transport
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
- Reliable, trustworthy, and professional
- An understanding of working within a care environment is desirable
- Enhanced DBS paid for by company
- Flexible, part-time working
