Overview
We are seeking a reliable and responsible part-time Schools Taxi Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting pupils safely and punctually to and from school, ensuring a smooth and efficient service. This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment only, with a focus on safety, communication, and vehicle maintenance.
Duties
- Safely transporting students to and from school locations in accordance with scheduled timings
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all passengers during transit
- Maintaining cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle to ensure optimal operation
- Communicating effectively with school staff, parents, and students regarding schedules or any delays
- Assisting with loading or unloading students where necessary, including handling light luggage or equipment
- Adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies at all times
- Completing relevant documentation or logs related to daily trips and vehicle inspections
Experience
- Previous experience as a driver, particularly in commercial driving or delivery roles, is desirable BUT not essential
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with children, parents, and school staff
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance routines to ensure the safety and reliability of the transport vehicle
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record suitable for passenger transport roles
