Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Coffee Shop Assistant to join our vibrant team. Duties
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring high quality standards.
- Assist customers with their orders in a courteous and professional manner.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, equipment, and customer areas in accordance with food safety standards.
- Restock supplies such as cups, lids, condiments, and ingredients as needed throughout shifts.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently, including food safety procedures.
- Support food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service delivery.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or work within a food service environment is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations is beneficial.
- Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy is preferred.
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong organisational skills including time management are essential to manage multiple tasks efficiently during shifts. Pay: £8.00-£13.21 per hour
