We're looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and organised Gym Host / Receptionist who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. You'll be an important part of our team, helping create the professional, supportive and welcoming atmosphere that our members know and value.
This is a varied role combining customer service, reception, administration and marketing support within a busy, friendly fitness centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome every member and visitor with a genuine, friendly and professional attitude.
- Create a positive first impression and help maintain the warm, community atmosphere that Challenge is known for.
- Check members in and assist with enquiries efficiently and professionally.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to enquiries both in person and online.
- Support new membership enquiries, sign-ups, renewals and member retention.
- Assist with marketing activities, promotions, social media and club events.
- Carry out reception and administrative duties including data entry, appointment scheduling and maintaining accurate member records.
- Use ClubRight, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace to support the smooth running of the club.
- Keep the reception area clean, tidy and welcoming at all times.
- Work closely with the management team to ensure every member receives an outstanding experience.
- Deal with member questions, concerns and feedback promptly, professionally and with empathy.
- Help promote the services, facilities and values of Challenge to both existing and prospective members.

Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous reception, customer service or administrative experience.
- Experience within the fitness, leisure or hospitality industry.
- Experience using ClubRight or a similar membership management system.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- An interest in health, fitness and helping people achieve their goals.
