About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join our vibrant Hampton campus. You will deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction for pupils with a range of additional needs, fostering inclusive learning environments that promote academic progress, independence, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver tailored lessons in line with the National Curriculum and individual Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Conduct regular assessments, monitor progress, and adjust interventions to meet each pupil’s targets.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, teaching assistants, therapists, and families to ensure cohesive support.
- Implement behaviour-management strategies that are respectful, restorative, and evidence-based.
- Contribute to the development and review of SEND policies, safeguarding procedures, and whole-school inclusion initiatives.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and CPD sessions.
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a recognized SEND specialization (e.g., PGCE, MA).
- Experience teaching pupils with complex needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech & language, physical disabilities).
- Strong knowledge of statutory frameworks (SEND Code of Practice, EHCPs).
- Excellent communication, organisational, and collaborative skills.
- Commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional growth.
