Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide essential support to dentists during clinical procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain high standards of hygiene and organisation within the practice. Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including preparing instruments and materials.
- Ensure patient comfort and provide reassurance throughout treatments.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols, sterilising instruments and ensuring clinical areas are hygienic.
- Prepare treatment rooms before appointments and clean up afterwards.
- Record patient information accurately using IT systems, including treatment notes and medical histories.
- Provide pre- and post-treatment advice to patients regarding oral health care.
- Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient correspondence.
- Manage stock levels of dental supplies and order replacements as necessary.
- Uphold high standards of health and safety within the practice environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in patient care, ideally within a dental or healthcare setting.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of nursing practices relevant to dental care is desirable.
- Proficiency in IT systems used for record keeping and appointment management.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- A recognised qualification in dental nursing or equivalent is preferred but not essential for entry-level candidates willing to learn on the job. This role offers a rewarding career path for individuals committed to delivering exceptional patient care within a professional environment.
Pay: £12.03-£14.50 per hour
