The Role:
We are looking for an organised and proactive Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our finance function.
You will be joining a close-knit finance team of 9, working in a fast-paced fintech environment where accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement are key. This role is well-suited to someone with prior finance experience and/or someone currently working towards their AAT Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).
We are passionate about development and training, and for those who wish to progress further with AAT or equivalent qualifications, we are very willing to support and fund continued study.
You will support a broad range of accounting activities, including transactional processing, reconciliations, reporting, and month-end support.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing shared finance inboxes and responding to queries from internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
- Completing bank reconciliations across multiple currencies.
- Assisting with sales, purchase and nominal ledger reconciliations.
- Processing payments accurately and in line with internal controls.
- Supporting customers, clients, and colleagues with finance-related queries as required.
- Preparing and processing weekly margin calculations for QUBA agencies, ensuring queries are resolved in a timely manner.
- Assisting in the weekly reporting of financial data to external financial intermediaries.
- Recording financial transactions to support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and monthly journals.
- Supporting the preparation of company budgets.
- Assisting with the preparation of year-end audit information and supporting schedules.
- Contributing to ongoing process improvements within the finance function.
About You:
You will ideally have previous experience working within a finance environment and/or be actively working towards your AAT Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
You will thrive in this role if you are:

You will also need:
- Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- A professional and customer-focused approach.

This is a fully office-based role at our modern office in Chandlers Ford, near Southampton.
