Job description:
We are recruiting for an experienced and motivated HGV Class 2 Driver (Skip Lorry) here at the Runtech, based at Tata – Hartlepool operation. We pride ourselves on fostering a great working environment. If you’re passionate about doing great things in a fast-moving industry, we’d love to hear from you! The ideal candidate will be working as part of a site team and has primary responsibility for the management and delivery of skips to support our customers ongoing production operation. You will also be flexible in approach with regards operating other assets across the site.
Responsibilities
·Operate HGV vehicle – predominantly a chain skip lorry, but also other HGV vehicles on occasion as well as the opportunity to learn to operate a material handler (appropriate training can be given for the right candidate)
· Ensure the safe loading and unloading of vehicles, adhering to all safety regulations
· Conduct pre-start inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working order
· Perform basic mechanical checks on vehicles and report any maintenance needs promptly
· Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
Requirements
· Valid commercial HGV driving licence class C (or C+E) with a clean driving record.
· Previous experience operating a skip lorry or similar is preferred.
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and client
Package
· Monday - Friday 40 hours per week plus weekend overtime available
· Competitive hourly rate
· 28 days holiday per year inclusive of Bank holidays
· Overtime available depending on the needs of the business
The successful candidate will be subject to our induction process that will include drug & alcohol testing
