Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Swimming Instructor to join our aquatic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching swimming skills, ensuring safety, and fostering a positive learning environment for all ages and abilities. Duties
- Deliver engaging and safe swimming lessons tailored to individual needs and skill levels
- Monitor participants during lessons to ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
- Develop customised lesson plans to improve technique, confidence, and water safety awareness
- Provide clear instructions and constructive feedback to students to facilitate learning
- Maintain a clean and organised pool area, ensuring all equipment is in good condition
- Enforce pool rules and safety regulations diligently during all sessions
- Assist with organising group classes, private lessons, and specialised training programmes
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages participation and enjoyment of swimming
Experience
- Previous experience in teaching, particularly in aquatic environments, is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire learners of all ages
- Knowledge of water safety standards and first aid certification is preferred but not essential; training can be provided if necessary
- Passion for teaching and promoting healthy activity through swimming
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required
