Storybook Day Nursery is an Ofsted Outstanding setting led by experienced Early Years Teachers, and caters for up to 60 children between three months and five years old per day. As a family run business, we are looking to recruit people who will join our close knit and supportive team to provide the highest levels of care in an environment that is as welcoming and enjoyable for our staff as it is for the children we have the privilege to care for.
As a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner (36 hrs per week, Year Round or Term Time Only) you will be expected to:
- Provide the children with a safe, secure and home like environment
- Operate a key person system and liaise with parents, carers, and senior staff
- Plan, organise and implement a programme of activities to meet the needs of this age group and each individual child’s needs and interests, to provide rich and stimulating play experiences within the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
- Work as part of a highly motivated and professional team.
- Carry out light domestic duties as and when required
You MUST
- Hold a Level 3 qualification
- Have at least 4 years’ experience of working with children
- Have an excellent understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and be able to clearly demonstrate its application in a nursery environment
- Be flexible and creative and have the commitment to provide first class childcare
- Have the ability to promote good practice in a professional manner
- Have good organisational skills.
Hours: 36 hours per week across 4 days a week all year round or term time only. Your hours and 1 hour unpaid lunch break will be rota-ed to ensure appropriate cover in the nursery. Full time hours options are 8am - 6pm, 4 days a week.

This position is offered subject to satisfactory references and pre-employment checks. It is also subject to the completion of a six-month probationary period during which time your performance will be reviewed.
Salary between £14 and £15 per hour depending on experience and seniority of role, paid weekly
