Overview
The Vehicle Damage Assessor plays a crucial role in evaluating and assessing damage to vehicles, ensuring that all assessments are conducted accurately and efficiently. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of vehicle mechanics. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive reports on vehicle conditions, which will assist in the claims process and help maintain high standards of customer service.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess damage and identify necessary repairs.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining the extent of damage, repair costs, and recommendations for work required.
- Communicate findings clearly to customers, ensuring they understand the assessment process and any recommended actions.
- Upsell additional services or products based on customer needs and assessment findings.
- Collaborate with other team members to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring the correct repair methods are quoted for in the repair and job cards reflect the information accurately.
- Documenting and updating each stage of the estimation process correctly (imagery/updating insurance systems/companies/customers) to ensure accuracy of information and to obtain repair authority.
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and address their concerns.
- Ability to upsell services based on thorough assessments while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate reporting and high-quality assessments.
- Technical Knowledge gained in Bodyshop Industry.
- ATA VDA or NVQL3 or equivalent preferred.
- Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
- Computer literate.
- Delivers a result and makes things happen.
- Full driving licence.
