Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Administer medication in accordance with prescribed instructions and maintain accurate records
- Support individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other behavioural conditions through behaviour management techniques
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
- Assist with light housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and clean environment
- Support clients with mobility and transportation needs, including driving them to appointments or social activities
- Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid skills when required
- Assist with specialised care such as hospice or palliative care as needed
- Maintain clear communication with team members and family members regarding client needs and progress
Skills
- Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient care procedures, including medication administration and behaviour management techniques
- Familiarity with dementia, Alzheimer’s, hospice, and senior care practices
- Strong caregiving skills combined with compassion and patience
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for mobility assistance or equipment handling
- First aid certification is advantageous
- Valid driving licence for transportation duties
- Excellent organisational skills for managing multiple clients’ needs effectively
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
