Analytical Chemist – Drug Delivery
Contract Type: Temporary (6-month contract, with potential extension)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Work Schedule: Flexible start and finish times (core hours on-site: 10am–3pm; 7.5 hours per day)
Pay Rate: £15.31

Scope
A global contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) specialising in drug delivery is seeking Graduate Analytical Scientists to join its growing team at its Charnwood Campus facility.
This is an opportunity to begin or develop your career within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment, contributing to the development and manufacture of life-changing inhalation and combination drug products.
You will work within a fast-paced analytical laboratory environment, supporting product development and commercial manufacturing programmes in line with cGMP standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting and documenting analytical testing in accordance with cGMP requirements
- Delivering high-quality, right-first-time data within agreed timelines
- Supporting laboratory investigations and resolving technical issues through data evaluation
- Working collaboratively with internal teams and supporting regulatory interactions when required
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory
- Ensuring full compliance with GMP, GLP and safety procedures
- Completing CAPA actions accurately and on time
About You:
- Degree (or higher) in a scientific discipline with laboratory experience, or relevant industry experience
- Good understanding of GMP and GLP environments
- Knowledge of analytical chemistry principles and laboratory practice
- Experience with HPLC (essential)
- Experience with GC, MS, UPLC or UV instrumentation desirable
- Understanding of basic statistics preferred
- Confident using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
- Effective communicator and strong team player
- Organised with good time management skills
- Proactive, flexible and enthusiastic about technical problem-solving
