Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Courier Driver to join our DPD team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of packages to various locations. This role requires good communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting up to 25-30kg, ensuring that all deliveries are completed efficiently and in accordance with company standards.
Duties
- Drive a van to deliver goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of packages, especially those requiring heavy lifting.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any maintenance issues as needed.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence for at least 1 year, with a clean driving record preferred; experience as a delivery driver or van driver is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Previous experience in courier/delivery driving.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and time management is essential.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Availability for extra work days
