We are seeking a motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Trainee or Qualified Dental Nurse. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready
- Provide excellent patient care by offering reassurance, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns
- Take and develop dental X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality at all times
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient correspondence
- Uphold strict infection control standards in line with health and safety regulations
- Ensure the clinical environment remains clean, organised, and fully stocked with supplies
Qualifications
- Experience or training in patient care within a healthcare or dental setting is desirable (not essential for trainees)
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Understanding of basic nursing principles and practices relevant to dental care
- Confidence using IT systems for record keeping and appointment management
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in providing exceptional patient support
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to the fast-paced environment of a busy dental practice
