This is a term time only job
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Multi-Skilled Construction Tutor to join our Alternative Education Provision, supporting young people who face challenges accessing and engaging with mainstream education.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in the construction industry, particularly woodworking, carpentry, joinery, or general construction trades, who wants to use their skills and experience to inspire the next generation.
Previous teaching experience is not essential. We are looking for someone who can build positive relationships, act as a role model, and help young people develop practical skills, confidence, and recognised qualifications. Support and training towards teaching qualifications can be provided for the right candidate.
Our learners are often described as hard-to-reach young people who may have experienced barriers to learning within mainstream school settings. They benefit from practical, hands-on learning opportunities and supportive relationships with adults who understand the importance of patience, consistency, and encouragement.
The successful candidate will be committed to helping young people achieve positive outcomes, develop employability skills, and gain qualifications that support their future pathways.
