The role will involve working across a wide range of groundworks and civil engineering projects, including general groundworks, civils, external works and remedial works.
Typical duties may include:
- Site preparation and site clearance
- Excavation works
- Foundations
- Shallow and deep drainage
- Ducting and trenching
- Floor slabs and concrete works
- Kerbing and edgings
- Paving and external works
- Macadam preparation works
- Retaining walls
- Fencing and landscaping
- General maintenance and remedial works
- Minor demolition and masonry repair works
The ideal candidate will be flexible, reliable and capable of working across varied projects as part of a team.
Requirements
- Previous experience in groundworks and civil engineering works
- Ability to work on a wide range of projects
- Valid CSCS card required
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- For 2–3 man gangs, at least one person must hold a full UK driving licence
- NPORS plant tickets desirable
- Own basic tools preferred
- Good attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Reliability and good timekeeping
- Valid work references required

We are ideally looking for operatives or gangs based locally to Horwich, Bolton, or within a reasonable travelling distance.

Due to continued growth and the award of further long-term contracts, we are looking to take on experienced multi-skilled groundworkers and/or 2–3 man groundwork gangs.
Our projects vary in size and nature, covering domestic, commercial and industrial works. We are looking for reliable, skilled individuals or gangs who can work to a high standard and take pride in delivering quality workmanship
Pay: £16.00-£22.00 per hour
