Who We Are
Oaks Rise is a neurodivergent-led, neuro-affirming Alternative Provision for autistic children and young people. We don’t just provide a high-quality education—we rebuild trust, self-esteem and wellbeing. We focus on relationships, interests, and giving young people a safe space to reconnect with learning.
We don’t do “one size fits all.” Instead, we co-create meaningful learning experiences with our students, helping them rediscover self-belief and develop the confidence to learn on their terms.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, QTS-qualified English teacher to join our talented and committed team. The role will deliver high-quality English teaching alongside excellent pastoral support, helping learners re-engage with education, develop emotional wellbeing, and make academic progress.
Key Skills and Duties
- Teach English across KS3-KS4, including GSCE English Language
- Act as Key Adult and Community Group Facilitator for up to nine learners
- Provide consistent pastoral and emotional support
- The role can be structured from three days per week to full time, depending on the successful candidate’s preference. The post requires on-site availability from Monday to Thursday, 1:30pm–4:30pm, with additional flexible PPA hours, which may include some home working. This is a term-time-only position.

Safeguarding
Oaks Rise is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Successful candidates will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check and a range of other pre-employment safeguarding checks, in line with statutory guidance. A probationary period will apply during which suitability to work with children and young people will be monitored.
Pay: £38,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
