About the role
You will be responsible for the coordination of trade plate vehicle movements as well as working closely with operations colleagues, customers, and our driver workforce. This is a live, fast-paced role that suits someone organised, analytical, and calm under pressure.
Hybrid working: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in our Warrington office, Monday and Friday from home. During onboarding you will be office-based 4 to 5 days per week for the first few weeks.
Out-of-hours support (paid rota) - Further details will be provided during interview stage.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and schedule vehicle movements to meet customer requirements and operational KPIs
- Allocate work to the driver workforce and manage changes in real time.
- Use internal systems to optimise routes, schedules, and utilisation
- Manage inbound and outbound calls and messages with customers and drivers
- Build strong working relationships and communicate clearly under pressure
- Resolve issues, delays, and exceptions with support from the operations team
- Provide out-of-hours support as part of a paid rota (details discussed at interview)
What will be expected?
- Transport planning fundamentals: capacity, scheduling, and service performance
- Practical problem solving and exception management in live logistics
- The use of operational systems, data, and reporting to improve outcomes
- Stakeholder communication with customers and a nationwide driver workforce
About you
Essential
- Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-critical environment
- Competent with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, and Excel basics)
- Able to travel to our Warrington office for required office days
- Eligible to work in the UK
Desirable
- UK geography knowledge
- Interest in logistics, transport, operations, or process improvement
- Driving licence
