New Directions Education are seeking a reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor for one of our partner Secondary Schools in Manchester. The successful candidate will supervise whole classes, ensuring students remain on task with the work they have been set. The role is a long term role starting ASAP on a full time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to classes in the absence of the class teacher.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies.
- Provide support to students to help them engage with learning.
- Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.
- Ensure a safe and positive classroom environment at all times.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with young people, ideally within a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to manage behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- A flexible, proactive approach and a strong team ethic.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
