Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to provide compassionate care and support to children, young people and adults within a residential setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting the well-being, development, and safety of residents, ensuring they receive tailored care in accordance with individual care plans. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care and support to children, young people and adult in line with their individual care plans.
- Foster a safe, nurturing environment that encourages personal growth and development.
- Assist residents with daily routines, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and recreational activities.
- Support behavioural management strategies and promote positive behaviour through encouragement and guidance.
- Maintain accurate records of residents’ progress, incidents, and care activities using IT systems.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure cohesive support.
- Drive residents safely to appointments, activities, or outings as required.
- Organise engaging activities that promote social skills, independence, and confidence.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children or within childcare settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of child development principles and experience implementing care plans is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills are essential for building trusting relationships with residents and team members.
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and reporting purposes are required.
- Driving experience and a valid driving licence are preferred to facilitate transportation needs. Pay: £24,420.00-£36,099.95 per year
